
Laker Cross Country Runners Finish Top-Half in MCCAA Opener
Both the men and the women's cross country teams each began their seasons on August 30th in Port Huron, running in the MCCAA Season Opener hosted by Saint Clair County CC at Goodells County Park.
The race for the men was an 8K, sporting a field of 100 runners, while the women's race was a 5K with a field of 95 runners.
Drew Moore was the highest finisher for the men's team, placing 25th in the collegiate men's division with a time of 30:02:80. Mason Cross finished just a few spots behind his teammate Drew, running his race in 30:24:40 good for 32nd in the field.
Natalie Lemert was the highest finishing female runner, finishing 42nd in the field of 95 with a time of 24:44:00.
The Lakers return to action on Friday, September 6th at the Northwood University Invite.
