Baseball Goes 4-0 to Start Spring

Baseball opened their season in Florida participating in the RussMat Invitational. They got off to a hot 4-0 start their first two days of spring.

Game one they defeated Western Technical College 10-2. Trevor Crawford started, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing 0 ER and striking out 9. Donovan Borg went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI. Daniel Howell went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI.

Game two they defeated Minnesota North College- Vermillion 11-0. Dean Sommer earned the win going 4.0 innings allowing just one hit and striking out 8. Keegan Merenuk went 2-2 with a triple and 2 RBI. Tyler Duncan, Donovan Borg, and Avain Rivera also drove in 2 runs apiece.

Games three and four they defeated Erie Community College with scores of 8-5 and 6-4. Logan Morris threw game one, throwing 4.2 innings allowing 3 ER. Donovan Borg went 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Keegan Merenuk launched his first homerun of the season on a two run shot. Brady Alverson went 2-4 with a pair of doubles. In game two the double header, Jarrett Inscho went 4.1 innings. Inscho allowed 5 hits, 0 ER, and struck out 7. Keegan Merenuk had a triple and drove in a pair of runs. Brady Alverson notched back to back multi-hit games going 2-3 on the game.
