
Women's Bowling Finishes Top 10 at NJCAA National Tournament
Women's bowling traveled to Cheektowaga, New York for the NJCAA National Championships, where historically they have seen consistent success. They've been consistently top 10 as a program, and that trend continued in 2023. The Lakers finished 8th among the field at the national tournament, and were the second highest placed MCCAA school present, only trailing Jackson College who finished 5th. The top finisher in All-Events for the ladies was Lauren Speers, who placed 49th overall with a total pinfall of 1,851 over 11 games. The top finishers in the Singles Event was Siera Feldpausch, placing 27th out of 100 bowlers. Lauren Speers and Karissa Schlak also respectively finished 30th and 31st for the event. Patricia Pineau and Lauren Speers finished 28th overall in the Doubles Event. In the end, the Lakers consistency prevailed, giving them another quality performance at the National Tournament.
