Lakers Earn Runner-Up Finish at Regionals

LANSING, Mich. – The Mid Michigan College women's bowling team earned a runner-up finish at the NJCAA Region 12 Championships on Friday from Royal Scot Lanes. With the runner-up trophy, the Lakers have qualified for the NJCAA National Championship that will be held Feb. 27-Mar. 1.

Mid finished with a total team score of 7812, 1074 behind team champion Jackson College.

Khaila Bullard led the Lakers individually in third place with a singles series of 601.

Bullard and Becca Claypool led Mid in the doubles format with a team high 1063.

Overall, Bullard finished with a total series of 1493, while Skylar Davy wasn't far behind with a 1441.

Mid will compete at the MCCAA Baker Challenge next Friday (Feb. 21).
