PORT HURON, Mich. – The Mid Michigan College men's basketball team won their fifth straight game on Monday (Dec. 16) night, defeating No. 8 St. Clair County 75-66 inside SC4 Fieldhouse. The Lakers (8-3) won their second straight contest over a ranked opponent, while handing the Skippers (9-2) their second loss of the season,
James Wright led Mid in the scoring column with 19 points, while grabbing 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. De'Antre Griffin also had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Jayden Hardiman added 16 points and seven rebounds, while Vynce Overshown posted 12 points off the bench.
The Lakers trailed 37-32 at the half, before outscoring the hosts 43-29 in the second half to earn the victory.
Mid returns home to Mount Pleasant on Wednesday (Dec. 18) night for a showdown with Lansing. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM from Morey Courts. The Laker women will face LCC at 5:30 PM.
