FLINT, Mich. – The No. 14 Mid Michigan College men's basketball team came up short in the NJCAA Region 12 Great Lakes District C Final on Saturday, falling 73-65 to No. 9 Macomb inside Ballenger Fieldhouse on the campus of Mott Community College.
Mid (25-6) was led by James Wright with 21 points, while Amonti Greene added 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists. De'Antre Griffin netted 8 points and pulled down five rebounds. Joe Iung chipped in 7 points and six boards.
The Monarchs (27-5) were led by DaMaryon Fishburn's 21 points, and have earned an automatic bid into the NJCAA D2 National Tournament.
The Lakers will wait to see if they've earned one of the four at-large bids for the National Tournament. The NJCAA D2 Basketball Selection Show is at 3PM Tuesday (March 11th) on the NJCAA Network.
