No. 10 Lakers Win Sixth Straight

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The 10th-ranked Mid Michigan College women's basketball team earned a 91-73 victory over No. 18 Lansing Community College (10-3) on Wednesday night inside Morey Courts. The Lakers (10-2) won their sixth straight game and never trailed in the contest. 

Mid raced out to a 19-6 lead in the first quarter before ultimately leading 25-14 after one. The Lakers eventually took a 20-point lead into the halftime break, as they were ahead 46-26 after the first two quarters. 

LCC tried to come back in the second half, but the early deficit was too much to overcome as the Lakers held strong for the win. 

Delaney Seaman scored 17 points, while Chloe Watson also scored 17 points to go along with four assists and five rebounds. Rachel Resio just missed a double-double with 13 points and eight assists, while Addysen Gray posted 10 points and four assists. 

The Lakers remain home for their final game of the 2024 calendar year. They'll host Grand Rapids Community College at 1:00 PM Saturday (Dec. 21) from Morey Courts.
