UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The No. 6 Mid Michigan College women's basketball team used a big third quarter to defeat Delta 89-51 on Wednesday afternoon.
Chloe Watson led the Lakers (22-2, 10-0 MCCAA North) with 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Rachel Resio and Makayla Watkins scored 13 points each, while Alexus Dunn added 10.
Delaney Seaman posted 8 points and Paige Ebels recorded 7 points as well as four assists. Jenna Butcher had 6 points.
The Lakers outscored the Pioneers (7-15, 4-6 MCCAA North) 28-8 in the third quarter to put the game away and run their winning streak to 18 games in a row.
Kayla Howell led Delta with 19 points.
Mid hosts Kirtland at 1:00 PM Saturday from Mount Pleasant High School.
