JOPLIN, Mo. – The No. 10 Mid Michigan College women's basketball team lost 85-75 to No. 7 Lake Land College in the NJCAA D2 Sweet 16 on Tuesday (Mar. 18th) night.
Mid (28-5) was led by sophomore Rachel Resio with a game high 28 points and three rebounds. Chloe Watson added 16 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
Paige Ebels recorded 8 points and three rebounds, while Alexus Dunn chipped in 7 points.
Lake Land (27-7) had four starters reach double figures led by Sydney Richards and Kaylee Niebrugge with 20 points each.
The loss sends the Lakers to the consolation bracket where they'll face MCCAA foe SC4 on Thursday (Mar. 20th) at 3PM ET/2PM CT from the campus of Missouri Southern State University.
Back in November, Mid was defeated 85-84 by SC4 and will look to avenge that loss on Thursday.
